Modified pool hours in effect for the remainder of the pool season
It's time to enjoy the last swims of the summer! Modified hours at Superior's North and South pools are in effect.
For the remainder of the season, both the North Pool (1650 S. Indiana St.) and the South Pool (3300 Huron Peak Ave.) will be open:
- Monday through Friday: 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The pools will be open on Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 1) before officially closing for the season on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

End summer on a high note with the Summer Concert Series finale
Say goodbye to summer at the final event in Superior's beloved Summer Concert Series.
Gather with friends and neighbors in the Downtown Superior Plaza (2250 Main St.) from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23 for live music from Tierro Band with Bridget Law and lots of fun!
Barbed Wire Reef and the Urban Hotdog Collective will sell tasty bites on site. Bambei Brewing is sponsoring the beer garden, with beer, wine, and seltzers available for attendees ages 21 and older. Please note that bringing and consuming outside alcohol is prohibited.
Parking is limited; please plan to bike, walk, or carpool. Additional parking is available at the Downtown Superior parking structures. Visit the Downtown Superior Parking webpage for a map of available parking.

E-Bike Safety: What Parents Need to Know
School is back in session, and many kids will be riding e-bikes. They're fast, fun, and popular, but they also come with serious safety risks, especially for young riders. Before your child hops on, make sure they're ready to ride responsibly. From traffic laws to knowing what class of bike your child is riding, there's a lot for parents to know! Upcoming Open Space programs offer a chance to connect with nature
Adaptive Adventures
Aug. 16 from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Coalton Trailhead (3495 McCaslin Blvd.)
The outdoors are for all of us! People with disabilities and their families are invited to this open event to learn more about accessibility in Superior and the surrounding natural areas. Adaptive Adventures will host a table and bring hand-cycles, recumbent tricycles, and assistive hiking devices for hourly tours of the trails at the Coalton Trailhead. Participants can learn to bike or hike with a physical disability, while families will learn how best to help their loved ones find a trail adventure. No registration is required.

Bug Hunt
Aug. 23 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Autrey Park (1830 Honey Creek Drive)
It's time to catch 'em crawling! Join wildlife ecologist Ashley DeLaup on a bug hunt and learn about insects, spiders, and other important invertebrates in Superior's parks and open spaces. Please wear appropriate clothes and shoes for the weather, and bring snacks and water as needed.

Star Party with Standley Lake Stargazing
Sept. 19 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Coalton Trailhead (3495 McCaslin Blvd.)
Witness star clusters, galaxies, nebulas, the moon, and planets during this magical stargazing party hosted by Standley Lake Stargazing! This family-friendly interactive program is suitable for a general audience without any prior experience. Please dress appropriately for evening weather.

Paws in the pool: Join us for Dog Daze at the South Pool on Sept. 4
Bring your furry friends to the South Pool (3300 Huron Peak Ave.) for a dog-friendly pool party on Thursday, Sept. 4 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Dog Daze is a free event; however, donations for Summit Dog Rescue will be accepted. The Boulder-based rescue organization has saved the lives of thousands of dogs and cats since 2009.
This event is for dogs — no humans please!

The Rocky Mountain Women's Disc Golf Championships is back in Superior!
The Rocky Mountain Women’s Disc Golf Championships (RMWDGC) is returning to Purple Park this August.
From Aug. 18-24, there will be a variety of events, culminating with the weekend tournament.
The local community is welcome and invited to come cheer on the women as they compete in the 2025 RMWDGC! All event details, including a full schedule, are available on the event webpage.
Please be aware that Purple Park (1310 S. Pitkin Ave.) and the playground will be closed for public safety during the event. There will be increased parking around the park and the adjacent neighborhood.
Have you been curious about what it is like to play disc golf? Come find out at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 18 in a free clinic sponsored the Rocky Mountain Women's Disc Golf Championships! Learn to play and receive two discs to use during the clinic and take home after. Please register.

Save the date! Superior's signature Chili & Beer Fest coming in hot on Sept. 6
Mark your calendars and join us on Sept. 6 for a super spicy, fun-filled day at the 2025 Chili & Beer Fest! Come taste some of the best chili recipes, sample craft beers, ciders, wine and spirits, and enjoy live music from the Wrenn Van Band and Hazel Miller and the Collective.
Want to go? Entry to the event, which will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. at Community Park (1350 Coalton Road), is free. However, regular admission to the Beer Fest, hosted by the Rotary Club of Boulder Valley, will get you unlimited tastings and a glass souvenir mug.
The Superior Chamber of Commerce is hosting VIP admission. These tickets offer all the perks of the general admission tickets plus exclusive access to the VIP lounge, with a taco bar, photo booth and specialty Mexican beers and wine.

Superior Pairings: Symphony of Motion

Be our guest for a very special Superior Pairings event with the Boulder Philharmonic and the Boulder Ballet! With a string quartet and two guest dancers, we will explore the personal stories and magic behind these transformative art forms.

CAPS Needle Felting with Wool Workshop

Kick off the holiday season and learn a unique form of fiber art with the Cultural Arts & Public Spaces (CAPS) advisory committee!
Create colorful, kid and pet safe small sculptures, ornaments or decorations using just a needle and some wool. Each workshop participant will receive a wool-felting starter kit. Due to working with needles, this class is for participants ages 12 and up. Registration is required.

The Town of Superior is hosting a brand new Saturday Night Social event at the Superior Community Center, 1500 Coalton Road. This free monthly community hangout features music, delicious food, and great company.
Come socialize, grab a bite, and enjoy bluegrass music from Mighty Holler on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 6 to 7 p.m. Doors open and food service begins at 5 p.m.

Portion of Meadowlark Trail closed Sept. 1 to Oct. 31 for cattle grazing
A portion of the Meadowlark Trail at Coalton Trailhead (3495 McCaslin Blvd.) will temporarily close Sept. 1 through Oct. 31 for cattle grazing. The closed section starts at the Coalton Trailhead and runs north toward the Oerman-Roche Trailhead, highlighted in pink on the map below. Coalton Trail and all other trails remain open during this time.

Wildfire Partners launches multi-family wildfire mitigation rebate pilot program
Wildfire Partners is proud to announce the new Multi-Family Dwelling Rebate Program, offering financial support to Boulder County communities that take proactive steps to reduce wildfire risk by removing highly flammable juniper vegetation.
The rebate program provides up to $500 per multi-family household unit for qualifying mitigation projects, specifically the Junk Your Junipers campaign in neighborhood common areas.
The program is open to multi-family dwelling communities such as apartment, condo, or townhome complexes throughout Boulder County, including the Town of Superior.

Createry leading new class for homeschoolers at the Civic Space
If you homeschool your kiddos, we have a great opportunity for you!
On Monday afternoons in September, Createry Workshop is teaching a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) class for homeschool families at the Superior Civic Space (2250 Main St., Suite 1001).
This art-accentuated STEM course begins Monday, Sept. 8 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Please register now to secure your spot. The class is open for those ages 5 to 11.
