Why keep your dog on a leash?

Watching your dog explore the natural world off-leash can be a joyful experience. However, it's important to remember that dog ownership comes with responsibility, too.

Superior's leash ordinance requires you to keep your pup leashed (unless you're visiting a designated off-leash area), but doing so is also the kind and neighborly thing to do!

Town of Superior rescinds stage 1 fire restrictions

The Town of Superior has rescinded Stage 1 fire restrictions effective June 9, 2026, in alignment with Boulder County’s updated order.

Indiana & Original Town Alley Construction Project Updates

Update: Reconstruction of Indiana Street from North Torreys Peak to McCaslin Boulevard will begin Monday, June 8. Phase 1 includes the full road closure of Indiana Street from North Torreys Peak Drive through Mount Sopris Way.

Construction on the Alley and Roadway stabilization project in Original Town began on June 1 and will run through early July.

Town Council Regular Meeting Agenda for June 8, 2026

Town now accepting Festival Short Term Rental License applications

The Town of Superior will offer Festival Short Term Rental (Festival STR) licenses to accommodate short term rental requests during the Sundance Film Festival, taking place Jan. 21-31, 2027. Individuals may now apply for a Festival STR license to be valid between Jan. 11 through Feb. 10, 2027.
