The Superior Municipal Court is committed to the administration of justice through a fair and equitable process, providing professional and respectful customer service to each individual so as to enhance citizen confidence and trust in our court system.
Superior Municipal Court is an independent branch of the statewide Judiciary system, with jurisdiction to hear cases that deal with the Town of Superior parking citations, traffic violations, misdemeanors, animal, and code violations.
Fines and Penalty Assessment payments are accepted in person at Town Hall, by mail, by phone with a credit card (Visa or Master Card) or online at superiortix.com
Municipal Court is held on the second Thursday of every month, 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and Juvenile only at 3:00 p.m.
Trials, if necessary, are scheduled on a date to be determined.
Appropriate dress is required in the courtroom. Shorts, tank tops and hats are inappropriate courtroom attire. If you are not dressed appropriately, the court may have you leave and come back another day.
Special requirements for juveniles (Persons under 18 years of age). You must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Colorado State House Bill 23-1182 - Requirement for Remote Public Access to Observe Criminal Court Proceedings The Court finds that it does not have the present staffing or technological capacity to monitor and manage a full-time remote observation platform as described in HB23-1182 or CJD 23-02. Similarly, the Court does not have the capacity to maintain the necessary level of remote access contemplated by the presumptively flexible hearing types set forth in Section IV of CJD 23-03.
