In the August Cultural Arts and Public Spaces (CAPS) Committee meeting, the committee first welcomed Ardyce Lebewitz as its newest member. Staff presented updates on new Superior Art & History coloring books, graffiti on the community park bollards, and the status of the Rock Creek Parkway mural to be painted in late September. The committee then heard the status of the Marshall Fire Remembrance RFQ, followed by debriefs on the CAPS-Council dinner from Sept. 25 and the celebrated "Symphony of Motion" Superior Pairing held on Sept. 26. The committee then discussed ongoing projects including future mural painting, plaques for existing artwork, and utilization of digital assets in the Community Center and Civic Space. Finally, the committee had a lengthy discussion on candidates for artwork acquisition and placement before the end of 2025.
