The Town of Superior is excited to partner with Boulder County's EnergySmart program to offer our residents home energy and electrification rebates.

You still have time to apply for the 2025 rebates, which can help you save money on improvements like insulation and air sealing, as well as for electric appliances like heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, dryers, and induction cooktops, that will make your home healthier, safer, and more resilient.

The deadline to apply is Jan. 5, 2026.

Please be aware that the EnergySmart rebate program will change in 2026. The most significant change is that EnergySmart will focus exclusively on income-qualified rebates, ensuring taxpayer-funded assistance reaches the households that need it most. However, the income limits in Boulder County are higher than you might expect! For example, a family of four's income can be up to $150,600 to qualify for an income-qualified rebate.

What's changing:

  • EnergySmart's Standard rebates will no longer be available.
  • EnergySmart's income-qualified rebate amounts are adjusting to up to $2,000 per year, not exceeding 50% of the project cost after accounting for other incentives.

Visit EnergySmart's website for more information on the upcoming changes or give the organization's October 2025 newsletter a read. You can learn about additional Town-sponsored energy efficiency programs on the Town's Energy webpage.
