March 26
In the March 2026 Cultural Arts and Public Spaces (CAPS) Committee meeting, the members first heard updates from the staff about the Q1 2026 Budget report and were given a brief overview of the research and possible revision to the CAPS. The committee then viewed the final version of the video made about the Fox mural and were shown ideas for the Hyatt Studios future murals. Next CAPS was updated on the Marshall Fire Remembrance Project, the March 23Town Council Meeting (in which minor amendments to the Mural Festival agreement were approved), as well as touching on the upcoming CAPS events. These included the Boulder Film Friends in Superior’s presentation of The Prime Minster on March 27 at 6 p.m., the March 27 work session at the Civic Center to landscaping with the Superintendent of Parks and Rec, and the BFFs in Superior showing of Chasing Childhood, on April 24 at 6 p.m. Next was a brief work plan check-in regarding both the Mural Festival and the ARTery. This was followed by a discussion of the possible revision and update the CAPS resolution, and then a review of the call-to-artists for the digital art exhibition. The meeting wrapped up with brief presentations about images of Superior’s public art that will be made into stickers for event hand-outs as well as the Chili Festival raffle item that has been donated (a custom blanket that will be made with images from the Fox Mural).
