June 12
General Updates and Debriefing focused on updates related to the Marshall Fire Remembrance subcommittee and a planned presentation with the Louisville City Council in July and donor updates. Debriefing addressed the recent Boulder Heritage Roundtable Awards Ceremony and the Superior Veterans Group placing flags at the Superior Cemetery honoring veterans for Memorial Day. There was also a brief presentation about progress made from the Preservation Plan Subcommittee and addressing next steps for drafting. For the Work Plan Check-in there were details shared and staffing updates discussed for the Town’s Fourth of July festivities, the creation of a Wall of Fame highlighting noted moments in Superior’s history, and a vote to pay for speakership of Gail Beaton as part of the Fall Program which will be detailing the history of Rosie the Riveter. There were also staff updates about the Grasso Park grant status and additional signage installation which is set for later this month.
June 17
PARC members reviewed Pirate Park Playground and Fire Station Park for renovations, discussed Central Park Grand Opening and plans for 4th of July event. The Committee also discussed equipment boxes and town programming, along with the temporary closure of the SCC starting in August.
