Feb. 17
On Feb. 17, the Planning Commission held a public hearing and recommended to the Town Council in a vote of 5 yeses and 0 no’s, adoption of an update to Chapter 16 of the Municipal Code concerning outdoor lighting standards, with one change to Sec. 16-20-30 (d) (20), increasing the allowable lumens from 1500 lumens to 1600 lumens.
Feb. 20
The Superior Historical Commission (SHC) held its monthly meeting on Feb. 20. All members were present except for Maureen Hogg. Heather Cracraft served as Council representation. There was no public comment. The Commission had updates associated with correspondences, the Marshall Fire Remembrance Subcommittee, and collection management.
Discussion Items focused on the CPI Saving Places conference which was attended by some Commission members, upcoming events such as museum and cemetery open days, and finalizing dates for the Spring Program in April. Additional topics included discussions on utensil display cases in Asti Museum, a unanimous vote to approve the purchase of rechargeable lamps to be used within the outbuildings in Grasso Park, and deferred budget carryovers for 2026. Staff updates included details on potential grants, barn door repairs, and screens donated by the Lions Club for display within the museums.
