Autumn is upon us, Superior! Below is a list of opportunities and events to celebrate the change of seasons and make an impact in your community. For example, you can support the local circular economy by swapping your old Halloween costumes for new ones at the Halloween Costume Exchange. Or get outdoors and embrace the cool weather and sunshine by taking a spin on the Town’s new e-bikes for a picnic and some leaf peeping. We hope to see you at the BCycle ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Superior Mural Festival and Fall Market (don’t forget your reusable bags)!

Costumes Needed: Swap out old scares for new spooks at the Halloween Costume Exchange
Every year, countless costumes are worn once and then sent to the landfill. Give spooky season a sustainable twist this year with the Halloween Costume Exchange!
Superior has historically donated the most costumes among surrounding communities, and more costumes are needed to make this year’s exchange a success! Donate your clean, gently used adult, children's, and pet costumes to the collection bin at the front desk of Superior Civic Space (2250 Main St, Suite 1001, Superior) or the Louisville Public Library (951 Spruce St., Louisville) from now until Sept. 30.
Then find a new-to-you costume at the Halloween Costume Exchange on Friday, Oct. 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., on the second floor of the Louisville Public Library, at the top of the stairs. Costumes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis!
Any donated costumes not distributed during the event will be donated to the Sister Carmen Thrift Store.

Celebrate Superior’s new e-bike share program
BCycle e-bike share is now available in Superior, giving residents a convenient and sustainable option for traveling to local destinations and connecting to the regional e-bike network! Help us celebrate this exciting new program and stop by for lots of fun, including BCycle e-bike and app demonstrations, free swag, and other festivities.
The ribbon-cutting and welcome ride are being held in conjunction with the Superior Mural Festival and Fall Market on Sunday, Oct 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Superior Commons Park, 2375 Creek View Way. Don’t forget your helmet!

Switch Together: Join your neighbors for a group discount on heat pumps
Boulder County and local municipalities are partnering with the nonprofit Solar United Neighbors to bring you Switch Together, a group-buying program for residential heat pumps.
By pooling many projects, Switch Together lowers the cost of equipment and installation through a qualified, competitively selected heat pump installer. For even more savings, combine Switch Together with heat pump rebates and incentives from EnergySmart, Efficiency Works, Xcel Energy, and Power Ahead Colorado.
How Switch Together works
- Register: Sign up for Switch Together online at no cost.
- Contractor Selection: Vetted contractors compete in a bidding process. The most competitive bids for high-quality installations determine the final group discount.
- Personal Offer: You will receive a personal offer from Switch Together based on your registration details. This offer will include your estimated costs, group savings, and information about the selected contractor for your neighborhood.
- You Decide: You have until Nov. 18 to decide whether to accept the offer. There is no obligation to accept. To secure your spot, you’ll be asked to place a $150 deposit, which is fully refundable if you choose not to proceed.
- Installation: If you accept, the winning contractor will contact you to schedule an initial consultation. If your home is found to be unsuitable, the installation will be canceled, and your deposit refunded.
The current program offers the average household a 20% discount compared to the typical market price for a standard heat pump installation, translating to average savings of $4,653 even before stacking the discount with other available rebates and incentives.

Share feedback on the 2026 Water Conservation Plan update
Last chance to provide feedback on the Town’s Water Conservation Plan update! The Town is seeking feedback on the proposed plan through Monday, Sept 28. The plan details the Town's historical water usage, sets conservation goals, and outlines a portfolio of demand-management activities, including leak detection, metering, and rebate programs.
