Please be aware that the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Tuesday, Aug. 5. A Red Flag Warning occurs when warm temperatures, very low humidity, and strong winds combine to create extreme fire danger.

Outdoor fires are not allowed in Superior at any time, per the Town's municipal code. During a Red Flag Warning, no open burning or agricultural burning is allowed in unincorporated Boulder County.

For more information, visit the National Weather Service website and the Boulder Office of Disaster Management website. The Town of Superior's Disaster Preparedness and Recovery team also provides important information on the Disaster Preparedness and Recovery webpage

If you notice any damage to town property or travel hazards on town roads or property, please report them via Superior Click Fix or by calling 911 if it is an emergency situation.

Additionally, make sure you’re signed up to receive emergency alerts through BOCO Alert or ReachWell and have your personal preparedness plan ready.
