Exterior of the Superior Community Center with a rainbow

Please be aware that the Superior Community Center will undergo a drainage and structural improvement project later this summer. To complete this important work, the facility will be closed to the public beginning Aug. 3.

The Superior Civic Space will remain unaffected by this project, and select Community Center programs will begin moving to the Civic Space in June to prepare for the construction. If you are registered for a program or have a child in a summer camp, please double-check the location to ensure you go to the right location!

Thank you for your patience and understanding! For questions or assistance, please get in touch with the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space team at tospros@superiorcolorado.gov, visit us at 1500 Coalton Road, or call 303-554-9005.

Leash up for safety: Protect your dog, wildlife, and our community

Three people with leashed dogs speak with an animal protection officer in the park

Watching your dog explore the natural world off-leash can be a joyful experience. However, it's important to remember that dog ownership comes with responsibility, too.

Superior's leash ordinance requires you to keep your pup leashed (unless you're visiting a designated off-leash area), but doing so is also the kind and neighborly thing to do!

Find out the reasons why leasing is so important in this article on the Town website.

And don't forget: You can take your pup to the Autrey Park Dog Park (1830 Honey Creek Drive) or the Central Park Dog Park (2560 Central Park Way) for some off-leash fun!

Please be aware that the dog park at Autrey Park will be closed for a period of time on Wednesday, June 17 while the Boulder County Youth Corps works on a project at the park. The closure will be indicated by temporary signage.

Keep it Clean Partnership reminds Superior residents to recreate responsibly this summer

A family has a picnic on a blanket in front of a pond in Boulder County

Rain and melting snow pick up pollutants from our parks and trails and carry them into storm drains which drain directly into local waterways untreated. These are the same waterways where we swim, fish, and play during the summer.

You can protect yourself and our waterways while recreating by picking up after your pets, packing out solid human waste and toilet paper, and using mineral sunscreen when recreating in the water. When swimming in lakes and creeks, do not swim immediately after a rainstorm, and avoid getting water in your mouth, eyes, or open wounds. By recreating responsibly, you can protect water quality, aquatic life, and fellow community members.

Learn more through the Keep it Clean Partnership.
