Do you care about local wildlife and the natural spaces they call home? The Wildlife and Habitat Encouragement Team (WHET) is a volunteer group made up of community members who share a passion for wildlife and preserving and promoting healthy habitats throughout Superior.

Together, WHET volunteers:

  • Share ideas and listen to one another
  • Elevate important environmental issues
  • Encourage community involvement
  • Provide education and outreach
  • Take meaningful action to support wildlife

WHET also works closely with the Town’s Open Space Advisory Committee to help guide local open space efforts.

If you're looking for a way to make a difference, meet like-minded neighbors, and protect the natural beauty of our community, WHET is a great place to start!

Email Open Space Ranger, Phary Om at pharyo@superiorcolorado.gov or call 303-499-3675 ext. 136 to learn more about becoming a WHET volunteer.
