Reconnect, recharge, and heal with Nature and Forest Therapy on Sept. 30

The Town's Disaster Preparedness & Recovery team invites you to participate in a unique and restorative experience through the Nature and Forest Therapy program, an innovative approach to stress relief, healing, and resilience.

Nature and Forest Therapy
Thursday, Sept. 30
4 to 5:30 p.m.
Community Park

Rooted in the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), these guided sessions offer a chance to slow down, engage your senses, and reconnect with the natural world. Benefits include:

  • Lower stress and blood pressure
  • Boosted mood, energy, and focus
  • Improved sleep and immune function

Led by certified guides trained in trauma-informed care and wilderness safety, these experiences are designed to support emotional well-being, especially in communities recovering from disaster.
