Au'r Hair Salon

Au'r logo.

Au'r Hair Salon takes its name from 'Au,' the chemical symbol for gold, a nod to 'Golden Hair.' The owner has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2003, with training in Seattle, California and New York. They are now bringing their expertise to downtown Superior, offering services such as women’s haircuts, coloring, and styling, along with haircuts for men and children.

Hours:
Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a goal of expanding to seven days a week.

Project Updates

The Foxley by Alta

Foxely by Alta development.

The Foxley by Alta, previously Alta Flatiron, continues to make great progress on construction and is on schedule. Highlights include:

  • Precast garage complete
  • Precast podium for commercial complete
  • All underground work completed (e.g. utilities)
  • All foundations completed
  • Framing underway

Food Hall

Proposed food hall.

The proposed Food Hall and Pizzeria project was presented to both the Planning Commission and the Town Council, outlining the proposed project and gaining approval of the Final Development Plan from the Council.

With this approval, the Food Hall developers can move forward with creating the construction drawings. This is expected to take 4 to 6 months. The developers are then expecting 7 to 8 months of construction once the drawings are completed. The Food Hall and Pizzeria will be located in the core of Downtown Superior on the plaza.

Boulder Film Friends in Superior

The Cultural Arts & Public Spaces (CAPS) advisory committee will host its next film screening in the Boulder Film Friends in Superior film series on May 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Superior Civic Space (2250 Main St.).

The film featured during this screening is "Life of Chuck," a non-linear drama based on a Stephen King novella that follows the life of Charles "Chuck" Krantz from his death by a brain tumor at 39 back to his childhood, celebrating the ordinary, beautiful, and profound moments of human existence.

Superior's beloved Summer Concert Series kicks off on June 13 from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. at the Superior Commons Amphitheater (2130 Creek View Way) with a blend of blues, folk and country music from the Bill McKay Band.

Under Development

Alta Flatirons

A mixed-use development adding 251 additional residential units which includes a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts. Amenities will include a lobby area, a clubroom, co-working space, conference and game room, fitness center, a pool and spa courtyard with a grilling area, indoor/outdoor sky lounge and deck, pet wash, and a dog park. It will also provide additional commercial space along Main Street. Construction started in May 2025 and is slated for completion in Spring 2027.

Hyatt Studios

A 57,972-square-foot, four-story extended stay hotel with 114 spacious guest rooms. Planned amenities include welcoming outdoor covered seating areas and BBQ grills and gathering areas where guests can relax and enjoy Colorado’s sunshine. Construction started in September 2025 and is slated for completion in Spring 2027.

Kite Route Crossing

Kite Route Crossing will provide 50 high quality affordable homes for seniors aged 55 and older. Utilizing the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program, the project will restrict units to senior households earning at or below 30%, 50%, 60%, and 70% of the area median income. With a unit mix consisting of 44 one-bedroom and 6 two-bedroom units. Though technically not in Downtown Superior, this development is 1-block south of Main Street on Marshall Road and Old Rail Way.

Food Hall

A proposed 2-story food hall featuring an 8,450 square foot ground floor with four rotating food bays and open dining, plus a rooftop dining area with a 1,350 square foot rooftop deck and a 2,650 square foot indoor dining area. A nearby lot will host a 2,400 square foot full-service wood-fire pizza bar with indoor and outdoor dining.

Bigsby’s Folly Craft Winery and Restaurant

A proposed 7,500 square foot event-focused restaurant and winery where artisanal meets accessible. Bigsby’s Folly is a family-owned business with their original location in Denver. The owner is looking to expand into a second location in Downtown Superior.

Coal Creek Innovation Park

A proposed 287,000 square foot office campus offering fully furnished lab suites designed to meet the specific and technical needs of life sciences companies. Features include 100% outdoor air return in the labs, generator backup, and expanded electrical load.


 

Superior Civic Space

The Town of Superior opened its Downtown Superior Civic Space to the public in June 2025. Located next to Downtown Superior Plaza, this public amenity provides a space for work, play, events, and community. Stop by to say hello and check it out!
