Community Center Construction Starts Aug. 3: What You Need to Know

Published on July 10, 2026

The Superior Community Center, 1500 Coalton Road, has become a cornerstone of community life, where residents gather to meet, learn and connect. To ensure the building remains in excellent condition for years to come, the Town will undertake essential repairs to address drainage and foundation concerns.

Construction is scheduled to begin on Aug. 3 and continue through October 2026. During this period, the facility will be closed to allow work to proceed as efficiently as possible while maintaining safety for residents.

Some programs and room reservations will move to the Superior Civic Space, 2250 Main St., Suite 1001. Whether you're hosting a meeting, attending a program or simply looking for a place to connect or work, the Civic Space is an excellent option. If you haven't visited yet, now is a great time to explore Superior's newest community hub.

For more information about the project, visit the Town's project webpage. You can also review the frequently asked questions below for details about the closure, temporary program locations, parking, room reservations and other Community Center services during construction.
