A liquor license is required to sell or distribute alcoholic beverages for commercial purposes in the Town of Superior and a state and local liquor license must be obtained. All applicants must comply with the Colorado Revised Statutes, the Town’s Municipal Code and the Town's Information Packet(PDF, 342KB).
It is the responsibility of the applicant to review the Colorado Department of Revenue: Liquor Enforcement Laws, Rules, and Regulations to ensure understanding of requirements and regulations of alcohol licenses.
While the Town Clerk’s office is available to provide some assistance in the application process, we cannot provide legal advice and cannot make any representations or assurances as to the final outcome of the process. It is certainly not essential that you seek the assistance of an attorney to guide you through this process; although you may strongly consider doing so. In many instances, legal assistance can help you move through the process more quickly and with fewer complications.
Two separate fees are required to be paid, one to the State (Colorado Department of Revenue) and one to the Town of Superior for most Liquor Licensing and Permit requests. Review the Fee Schedule for a detailed list of fee amounts.
