You're invited: Touch-an-EV Truck celebration event March 15!

Published on March 11, 2025

The Town of Superior and Republic Services will host a free, family-friendly Touch-an-EV Truck event to celebrate the introduction of a new waste collection service featuring state-of-the-art electric vehicles (EVs).

This event—open to all and featuring free sweet and savory crepes and hot drinks—offers a unique chance for kids and adults alike to explore, touch, and climb aboard these state-of-the-art mechanical marvels.

Come learn how these new trucks generate less noise and pollution when out and about our community, and help us welcome Republic Services to Superior!

Touch-an-EV Truck Celebration
Saturday, March 15
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Superior Community Center
1500 Coalton Road

Republic Services will deliver new carts the week of March 24

Service with Republic Services will start on March 31, 2025. Republic will deliver selected new bins or a default set of bins (65-gallon trash, 95-gallon recycling and 35-gallon compost) the week of March 24, and Waste Connections will pick up their bins that same week after weekly service.

The Town is doing its best to ensure people don't have a gap in service with no bins or double bins for too long, but asks for everyone's patience and understanding as the transition happens. Please leave carts out after the pickup on March 24 and keep them empty until they are removed.

We understand this timing may not work for everyone. If you'll be out of town or have a conflict, please fill out this form for a delayed cart swap by Monday, March 17, at 5 p.m., and we'll let you know how we can accommodate a delay.

Waste hauling service is provided through the Town for Original Town, Sagamore, The Ridge, Coal Creek Crossing, Downtown Superior, Calmante, Lanterns, Autrey Shores and Rogers Farm. The upcoming changes do not impact Rock Creek HOA residents, other HOAs on the Rock Creek waste contract, or residents in apartment complexes.

Visit SuperiorColorado.gov/Garbage to learn more about the addition of Republic Services to the Town's waste collection program.
