The Nov. 12 Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC) meeting was a joint session with the City of Louisville’s Open Space Advisory Board (OSAB). This was a terrific way to communicate shared issues and leverage ideas from one another. Topics included the restoration that is taking place along Coal Creek and Rock Creek, rodenticide campaigns, concerns about e-bikes on trails and the existence of plans that can be implemented to re-locate prairie dogs. Of particular interest to both OSAC and OSAB is the work being done to improve trail connectivity. Both teams presented documents that are used to reflect open space and wildlife priorities. Additional discussion included how both teams develop strategies that fold into their respective town master planning. The session concluded with the commitment for further collaboration.
