May 6
Planning Commission held a meeting on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, to discuss and make a recommendation regarding the proposed rezoning of Lots 1-6, Block Q in Original Town from I-L to R-M. Commissioners voted 7-2 recommending approval of the rezone. Staff also provided an update on the Transportation Plan Update, reviewing engagement to date, existing conditions, and draft vision and goals.

The Superior Youth Leadership Council engaged with the Building and Planning department to assist in identifying “third spaces” that the youth engage in within the Town. Maps were provided and the Council broke out into groups to identify spots in where they find themselves mostly. After, the Council discussed its upcoming events, focusing on the Kickball tournament which is experiencing low registrations. A game plan was devised to engage with local businesses to help boost registration numbers. A final decision will be made about the kickball tournament at the June meeting. Future volunteer events and Metro Mayor Day was then discussed.
