Project Updates
Superior Community Center construction
The Superior Community Center, 1500 Coalton Road, is a vital gathering place for residents to connect, learn, and participate in community activities. To address drainage and foundation concerns and protect the building for years to come, the Town will begin essential repairs this summer.
Construction will begin Aug. 3 and continue through October 2026. The facility will close while crews work to ensure safety and efficiency.
Some programs and room reservations will temporarily move to the Superior Civic Space, 2250 Main St., Suite 1001. The Civic Space offers a welcoming place to meet, work and connect, and residents are encouraged to visit and explore this new community hub.
For project details, visit the Town's project webpage or review the Frequently Asked Questions for more information about the closure, temporary program locations, parking, reservations and Community Center services during construction.

Indiana Street Project
Construction continues on Indiana Street from North Torreys Peak to McCaslin Boulevard with crews completing bottom and top-lift asphalt paving on Phase 2 (McCaslin to Mt. Sopris) last week. This week, crews will be performing top-lift paving on Indiana Street from North Torreys Peak through Mt. Sopris Way (phase 1).
This will result in a full roadway closure of this section for the first part of the week. During this closure, the Wildflower Park entrance off of Indiana Street will be closed, and the northernmost entrance to Eldorado Pk-8 will be closed, with the southernmost entrance open.
Later in the week, crews will be performing roadway striping and asphalt repairs in the Wild Flower Park parking lot. All work will be completed prior to school start on Aug. 12.
Rock Creek Parkway
As Rock Creek Parkway and many other construction projects continue around Town, please visit SuperiorColorado.gov/ProjectUpdates to keep up to date with the most recent developments.
Here’s the progress we've made on the Rock Creek Parkway project as of Friday, July 31.
- This week (July 25 to July. 31)
Concrete work continues along the corridor, including sidewalk repairs, curb and gutter repairs, and new roundabout islands.
- Next week (Aug. 1 to 7)
Concrete work will continue. The roundabouts will be graded in preparation for paving, and the asphalt foundational base is planned to be installed at the end of the week.
The full closure will continue through Aug. 11, and crews are working to reopen this section sooner.
We appreciate your understanding as we work through this phase of the Rock Creek Parkway reconstruction, and we’re still anticipating having roads open before school starts.
