Historical Commission Meeting

April 18

The Historical Commission covered many important issues at the April meeting. Members approved financing for the construction and installation of custom shelves in the kitchen of the Asti Park Historical Museum, the lowering of the kitchen sink in the same museum, and came up with a strategy for producing a brochure on the history of the Asti Park Museum and the life and career of our late mayor, Ted Asti. The Commission was updated on the installation of informational plaques on the Miners Memorial, the status of two museum volunteers, preparation for the Commission’s Council dinner. They decided to permanently schedule mid-month work sessions at the museums. Plans were started for the annual Historic Walk and Fall Educational Program.
