ACES received an update from Sustainability Manager Alexis Bullen. The Town was awarded a $1,422,000 Transportation Demand Management Grant. Since water conservation will be important this year, the Town is planning to reduce water usage on Town property by approximately 20%. Additionally, residents, HOAs and businesses are encouraged to observe voluntary water restrictions. Alexis also presented information on facility decarbonization efforts. The Town will issue an RFP for a consultant to complete energy audits and preparation of a roadmap for electrifying certain buildings and making them more energy efficient. The group also had a preliminary discussion about the 2027 sustainability budget. In response to a request by Council Member Kaaoush, ACES agreed to prepare a letter of support for the Regional Air Quality Board (RAQC) Robust Emissions Control Evaluation Program (RECEP). Finally, upcoming events and meetings were discussed. ACES will be hosting the Front Range Sustainability Council of Advisory Boards meeting in May.
