Another new sculpture has popped up in Town, this time near Wildflower Park and Eldorado PK-8 School. Say hello to Coyote-Hawk, the large red two-sided metal sculpture by artist Joe Norman. Located in the median on S. Indiana St., the multi-perspective artwork depicts a red-tailed hawk from one side and a coyote from the other. The placement of the on-loan sculpture is the result of the Cultural Arts in Public Spaces (CAPS) advisory committee’s vision to place artworks along the ARTery path. Coyote-Hawk currently represents the southern end-point of the ARTery.
Norman and his crew led the installation on Dec. 17, 2024 and a videographer was on site to capture insight from the artist and the process of how large pieces of art get installed.
