Thinking about running for Town Council?

Do you care about Superior and have ideas about how to make the community even better? If you are looking for a meaningful way to serve and want a seat at the decision-making table, consider running for Town Council.

Six Town Council seats are open in the Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, election:

  • Three Council Member seats for full terms
  • Two Council Member seats for partial terms
  • One Mayor seat

To run for office, you must be a United States citizen, at least 18 years old on Election Day, registered to vote, and a Superior resident for at least 12 months immediately before the election.

To obtain a candidate packet, including an affidavit and nomination petition, stop by Town Hall at 124 E. Coal Creek Drive, or contact Town Clerk Shannon Dujardin at 303-499-3675 or shannond@superiorcolorado.gov.

Completed nomination petitions must be returned by 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24.
