Take note of these important updates and reminders

The Town’s new waste collection provider, Republic Services, started this past Monday, March 31. Republic’s team has spent extra time this week sweeping through neighborhoods for missed pickups and talking to residents to help answer questions and support the transition. All Town-served neighborhoods now have a Monday service day.

Please note that Republic services Town customers between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. They ask that residents please place carts out by 7 a.m. on Mondays and leave carts out until emptied that day.

We understand that some residents may have missed this transition or may still have a service issue. Here is some additional information to help.

Old Cart Pickup:

  • There are some old carts that have not been removed because they are full; old carts have to be empty in order for Waste Connections to remove them.
  • Please transfer any bags or waste to your new carts for disposal. Republic is not legally able to service and empty carts that are not theirs, so they cannot service Waste Connections’ carts.
  • If you still have old carts, please fill out the missed pickup form ASAP; one additional final pick up from Waste Connections will happen next week.
  • Rock Creek, Saddlebrook and Summit residents are provided with waste service through the Rock Creek HOA and are not a part of this transition, so no cart changes will be occurring for those residents.

New Cart Delivery:

  • If you do not have your new Republic carts yet or received incorrect sizes based on the order placed in February, you can call Republic at 720-760-0849 or email NMontoya@republicservices.com.
  • For those without carts, you can leave out bags out on the curb for collection during the regular service by 7 a.m. Monday.
  • No cart changes are available until May 1 to allow each resident to receive carts and service to begin, but residents may call Republic at 720-760-0849 now to schedule a swap in May.
  • Residents can also visit Republic’s website for more information.

Service:

  • Please follow Republic’s guidelines and make sure carts are placed away from any vehicles, including construction vehicles, camping trailers or any obstacles to service, especially in neighborhoods with ongoing construction impacts.
  • All Town-served neighborhoods have a Monday service day now. You can view a collection calendar on Republic’s website.

Cart Sizes and Cart Choice:

You will receive the carts you selected in February, or the default set of carts: medium (65-gallon) garbage cart, large (95-gallon) recycling cart and small (35-gallon) compost cart. No cart changes are available until May 1 to allow each resident to receive carts and service to begin. After service begins, you can switch cart sizes up to three times per year for free to find the right service level for your household.

Neighborhoods:

As a reminder, waste hauling service is provided through the Town for Original Town, Sagamore, The Ridge, Coal Creek Crossing, Downtown Superior, Calmante, Lanterns, Autrey Shores and Rogers Farm. The recent changes to the Town's service contract do not impact Rock Creek HOA residents, other HOAs on the Rock Creek waste contract like Saddlebrooke or the Summit, or residents in apartment complexes.
