Waste Connections to sweep for missed carts on March 27
Published on March 26, 2025
If you are on the Town's new waste contract, Waste Connections likely picked up your carts on Monday, March 24 after service. However, if your old carts were not picked up, please leave them out on the curb by Thursday, March 27 at 7 a.m.
Waste Connections will be doing another sweep for missed carts, as well as picking up carts from Downtown Superior after their final collection. If you filled out the Town’s missed cart pickup form, Waste Connections has your address as part of their route to pick up Thursday.
As a reminder, waste hauling service is provided through the Town for Original Town, Sagamore, The Ridge, Coal Creek Crossing, Downtown Superior, Calmante, Lanterns, Autrey Shores and Rogers Farm. The recent changes to the Town's service contract do not impact Rock Creek HOA residents, other HOAs on the Rock Creek waste contract like Saddlebrooke or the Summit, or residents in apartment complexes.
New Cart Delivery: New Republic carts will continue to be delivered through this Friday, March 28. All residents on the Town contract should have their new carts before the weekend. If you do not have your carts by next Monday, March 31, you can call Republic at 303-286-0800 and can leave out bags for collection. No cart changes are available until May 1 to allow each resident to receive carts and service to begin. Residents can also visit Republic’s website for more information.
Vacation Delay: If you previously notified the Town that you would not be here this week, you should receive a call from Republic about timing for getting new bins. Until carts are delivered, residents who delayed delivery can leave out bags and Republic’s operators will take them when service starts Monday.
The Town is doing its best to work with the haulers to ensure people don't have a gap in service with no carts or double carts for too long, but asks for everyone's patience as the transition happens.
Neighborhood specific information:
- Original Town: New carts will be delivered curbside. Republic has committed to working with Original Town residents to provide curbside pickup service each week going forward for those who wish to receive this service even though they may have alley access as well. Recognizing many rebuilt homes have alley-load garages where alley pickup service may be more convenient, Republic staff will accommodate residents to provide either curb or alley pickup as requested. Please leave your carts out in your preferred location and Republic will pick up from that location and update their routing for the future.
- Downtown Superior: New carts will be delivered in front of each garage. The collection service day will switch to Mondays from the previous Thursday pickup.
- All other neighborhoods on the Town contract: New carts will be delivered curbside. Please check the list at the top of the email to confirm whether this transition applies to you.
Cart Sizes and Cart Choice: You will receive the carts you selected in February or the default set of carts: medium (65-gallon) garbage cart, large (95-gallon) recycling cart and small (35-gallon) compost cart. No cart changes are available until May 1 to allow each resident to receive carts and service to begin. After service begins, you can switch cart sizes up to three times per year for free to find the right service level for your household.
New Service: Service with Republic Services will start on Monday, March 31. All residents will have a Monday collection day.
