Share feedback on the 2026 Water Conservation Plan update
The Town is updating its 2019 Water Conservation Plan. The plan details the Town's historical water usage, establishes conservation goals, and outlines a portfolio of demand-management activities, including leak detection, metering, and rebate programs.
The community’s voice and feedback are an important part of the update. Below are a few ways to get involved:
This Plan is separate from the recently adopted Town of Superior Drought Mitigation Plan. For more information on how the Town of Superior prepares for drought, monitors water supply conditions, and communicates drought response actions, visit superiorcolorado.gov/Transparency/Drought-Mitigation.

BCycle e-bike share arrives in Superior
BCycle e-bike share has arrived in Superior, giving residents a convenient new option for traveling to local destinations and connecting to the regional e-bike network.
The new public bike share program includes 20 Class 1 electric-assist bikes and 38 individual bike docks located at several stations throughout Superior, including Founders Park, Community Park, Superior Civic Space, and Superior Commons Park. Riders can use the BCycle app to find a nearby bike, unlock it, and start riding.
BCycle e-bikes can be ridden on streets, bike lanes, multiuse paths, and trails where bicycles are permitted. Riders must be at least 18 years old and follow all traffic laws. Helmets are encouraged, and riders should ride courteously and responsibly.
How BCycle e-bike share works
- Get a pass - Download the BCycle app and purchase a pass using a credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Choose from single-trip passes in 30-minute increments, daily, monthly, or annual passes. Low-income annual passes are available through BCycle.
- Find a bike - Use the BCycle app to find a nearby station and unlock an e-bike.
- Ride - Take a spin and explore at your own pace.
- Return - When you're finished, dock the e-bike at any BCycle station in the regional network.
- Ride again - Need another trip? Check out another bike and keep exploring!
Explore Superior and beyond
Superior’s e-bike share program is part of a regional partnership led by the City of Longmont and funded through the Colorado Energy Office’s Community Accelerated Mobility Project (CAMP) Grant. The partnership includes Boulder County, the City and County of Broomfield, the City of Lafayette, and the City of Westminster.
BCycle, which has operated in Boulder for more than a decade, is supporting the expansion of e-bike sharing programs across the region. As more communities join the program, riders will be able to travel between participating communities and pick up or return bikes at stations throughout the regional network.
The Town will celebrate the arrival of BCycle with an official launch and ribbon-cutting ceremony in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for event details and other updates about BCycle in Superior.

Power Ahead Colorado rebates make it more affordable to install a heat pump in your home, which, despite the name, heats and cools using electricity! Homeowners can now receive $1,500 for installing a new ducted or ductless ENERGY STAR® certified cold climate heat pump.
This rebate can be combined with other incentives such as Xcel Energy’s heat pump rebate and Colorado’s state heat pump tax credit. It can also be combined with EnergySmart’s income-qualified rebate for up to 50% of the total project cost.

Xcel rebates will be updated beginning Oct. 1, 2026. To receive the current tripled bonus amounts, equipment must be installed and invoiced before Oct. 1, 2026, and rebate applications must be submitted by Oct. 15, 2026. Applications received after Oct. 15, 2026, will be processed at the new bonus amounts, regardless of when the equipment was installed and invoiced.

Re-spook, Re-scare, and Re-wear! Donate costumes through Sept. 30
Let’s make Halloween Eek-o-Friendly with a Halloween costume exchange! Starting Sept.1, the Town of Superior and the City of Louisville will collect good-conditioned, unwanted, and old Halloween costumes for all ages. During the entire month of September, you can drop off costumes at the Superior Civic Space (250 Main St Unit 1001) or the Louisville Public Library (951 Spruce St., Louisville).
The Halloween Costume Exchange will be held on Friday, Oct. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Louisville Public Library at the top of the stairs. Come by the event, where we will be distributing costumes on a first-come, first-served basis!
Any donated costumes not distributed during the event will be donated to the Sister Carmen Thrift Store.
Limited time for sprinkler evaluations, rain sensors, or smart controllers
Did you know that Colorado households use over 50% of their water outdoors? It’s not too late to take control of your watering with free water-conservation programming from Resource Central:
- Slow the Flow Sprinkler evaluation: Resource Central will evaluate the sprinkler system at your personal residence at no cost to you. The evaluation includes a visual inspection, efficiency tests, and a customized watering schedule. You'll receive a report containing the test results and maintenance recommendations. Visit ResourceCentral.org/Sprinklers to learn more and to sign up.
- Smart Controller installation: Rachio smart controller installations are offered at no cost to Superior residents who have completed a Slow the Flow evaluation in the past. Resource Central will replace your current sprinkler control clock with the smart controller and show you how to use it. They have limited smart controllers, and applications close on Aug 21. at 5 p.m. For more information and how to apply, visit Resource Central’s smart controller website.
- Rain Sensor installation: Rain Bird rain sensor installations are offered at no cost to Superior residents who have completed a Slow the Flow evaluation in the past.
