For about a month in December and early January, the Town of Superior participated in the Sock It To 'Em campaign, which aims to put socks on the feet of local men, women, and children experiencing homelessness.
Local businesses and Town buildings provided collection boxes where residents could donate new socks for Boulder County residents in need.
Well, we have good news! Superior residents donated 700 PAIRS OF SOCKS for people who need them. Way to go! We're grateful for this community's generosity.
The socks went to All Roads Boulder County, a housing-focused homeless service provider serving Boulder County. The organization said it was the largest donation received this season.
Council Member Jenn Kaaoush coordinated this effort in partnership with the Superior Youth Leadership Council (SYLC). We'd like to extend a huge thank you to Council Member Kaaoush, SYLC, and all the local businesses that participated!
