Snow Busters volunteer program keeps sidewalks safe

Superior’s municipal code (Sec. 11-1-20)requires homeowners to clear snow, sleet, or ice from sidewalks within 24 hours after a snowfall ends.

If you’re physically and financially unable, you may qualify for help through the Snow Busters volunteer program.

Who can request assistance?

  • Individuals with a disability or physical impairment
  • Seniors physically unable to lift or move snow and ice
  • Residents unable to pay for a private contractor

Participation in Snow Busters does not guarantee that a volunteer will always be available. Town staff is not responsible for snow removal in the absence of a volunteer.

Want to volunteer?
Snow Busters volunteers are paired with a neighbor in need. Once matched, volunteers and residents coordinate directly. Volunteers are only responsible for clearing the sidewalk in front of the home after snowfalls of more than 2 inches, within 24 hours.

Fill out the Snow Busters application to request assistance or sign up as a volunteer.
