Beginning Monday, Sept. 28, crews will close the southbound side of Rock Creek Parkway for construction. Traffic will remain open in both directions, with vehicles sharing the northbound side of the roadway and one lane available in each direction.
Several turning movements will also be restricted during construction. Drivers traveling east on Coalton Road will not be able to turn left onto Rock Creek Parkway, and drivers traveling north on Rock Creek Circle will not be able to turn left onto Coalton Road or continue straight onto Rock Creek Parkway. These drives will be detoured east on Coalton Road and will do a U-Turn at Tyler Drive to go westbound on Coalton Road where they can make a right onto Rock Creek Parkway.
Drivers should follow all posted traffic signs and detours and expect delays while traveling through the construction area.
