Boulder County, Colo. - Following the devastating Marshall Fire on Dec. 30, 2021, the State of Colorado received two congressional allocations from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the total amount of $12.3 million of Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding to address recovery needs in the areas of housing, infrastructure, economic development, and resilience in response to presidentially-declared disaster DR-4634-CO.

The State of Colorado developed the Colorado CDBG-DR Public Action Plan, approved by HUD in November 2022, to outline how funds will be allocated. In May 2023, the State developed Substantial Amendment #1 to address the remaining unmet needs in Boulder County, Colorado.

The State is once again proposing a new amendment to the plan and released a draft for public comment on May 14, 2025. The draft Action Plan was posted on the Division of Local Government (DLG) Marshall Fire and Straight-Line Winds Event program website on May 14, 2025, and will remain open for public comment for 30 days through Wednesday, June 13, 2025.
