Indiana Street and Rock Creek Parkway Construction Project Updates

Indiana Street

Indiana Street will be closed from North Torreys Peak through Mt. Sopris Way beginning Monday, Aug. 3, as the Town completes top-lift paving and striping for the Indiana Street Reconstruction Project.

This closure of Indiana Street from North Torreys Peak through Mt. Sopris Way is scheduled to last for 2-3 days. During this time, the southern section of Indiana Street from McCaslin Blvd to just south of Mt. Sopris Way will be open.

During this closure, the Wildflower Park entrance off of Indiana Street will be closed. The northernmost entrance to Eldorado Pk-8 will also be closed, with the southernmost entrance open.

Construction will be completed before the beginning of the school year. Find more information and keep up to date on this project by visiting Town’s Project Page.

Rock Creek Parkway

As Rock Creek Parkway and many other construction projects continue around Town, please visit SuperiorColorado.gov/ProjectUpdates to keep up to date with the most recent developments.

Here’s the progress we've made on the Rock Creek Parkway project as of Friday, July 31.

  • This week (July 25 to July. 31)
     Concrete work continues along the corridor, including sidewalk repairs, curb and gutter repairs, and new roundabout islands.
  • Next week (Aug. 1 to 7)
     Concrete work will continue. The roundabouts will be graded in preparation for paving, and the asphalt foundational base is planned to be installed at the end of the week.

The full closure will continue through Aug. 11 and crews are working to reopen this section sooner.

We appreciate your understanding as we work through this phase of the Rock Creek Parkway reconstruction, and we’re still anticipating having roads open before school starts.
