Published on May 08, 2026

Participants attend a free garden workshop in 2025 at the Superior Community Center

Discover how to grow a thriving edible garden in containers, whether you have a patio, balcony, or just a small patch of space to work with.

This free, beginner-friendly workshop welcomes gardeners of all experience levels. You'll learn the basics of growing healthy plants in containers, including how to use compost as a nutrient-rich soil amendment, then put your new skills to work with hands-on planting time. Along the way, you'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get personalized tips.

Each participant will plant an edible plant in a 5-gallon grow bag to take home. Choose from one of two sessions and reserve your spot while space is available!
