Experience a day filled with family-friendly events and patriotic spirit! We invite you to join in the many festivities as Superior celebrates our nation's independence with red, white and blue fun for everyone!
Here's a quick look through the celebration's lineup! Find more details on each event and stay up to date by visiting the 4th of July Celebration Event Page.
Please walk, ride or carpool. No bike valet will be offered. Bike racks will be set up, but owners are responsible for parking and securing their own bike. Please bring a bike lock!
Free parking will be available in Lot 15 at the corner of Coalton Road and McCaslin Boulevard across from the Coalton Trailhead. A shuttle will service this lot, making round trips to and from Community Park every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The celebration starts with the popular Superior Mile – downhill race! Grab your friends and family and prepare to break your record in the mile during this Fourth-themed race.
Find more details by visiting Run Boulder Event's registration page.
The Superior 4th of July parade is a long-standing community favorite that kicks off at 8:30 a.m. down Rock Creek Parkway from South Indiana Street and ends in Community Park (1350 Coalton Road).
The community can vote for their favorite entries using QR codes posted along the route and at the Pancake Festival.
Now that you’ve worked up an appetite, it’s time to grab hot pancakes during the Pancake Festival at Community Park (1350 Coalton Road) from 9 a.m. to noon, sponsored by Spice of Life and served by the Rotary Club of Boulder Valley.
A few things to remember:
Why stop the fun now when more food, entertainment and cold beverages await just across the street at the Superior Community Center (1500 Coalton Road) from noon to 3 p.m.
For purchase food will be provided by Marcos Hot Dogs & Tacos, drinks by Serendipity Catering and music will be playing from Dylan Teifer & Friends that you won't want to miss!
Reminder from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office: Fireworks that explode or leave the ground are illegal in the Town of Superior. This limits the legal fireworks to sparklers, fountains and similar devices. Let’s work together to keep our community safe this 4th of July! Thank you.
