2026 Regular Election (Nov. 3)
The Town of Superior, in partnership with Boulder County, will hold its next Regular Election on Nov. 3, 2026. Ballots will be mailed to voters and ballot boxes will be open for this election.

Interested in running for Town Council?
There will be three open Council Member seats and one Moyoral seat open to serve on the Town Council this year. The Town Council adopts ordinances and resolutions, appropriates funds to conduct Town business and provides policy direction for Town governance through Town Staff and Advisory Committees. The Mayor and Council Members are elected by popular vote in November of even years to serve up to two, four-year terms.
Eligibility: Citizen of the United States, 18 years old or older on the date of the election, registered voter, resident of Superior for at least 12 months immediately prior to the date of the election.
Process: Pick up a candidate affidavit and petitions by
contacting the Town Clerk or calling 303-499-3675. Nomination petition packets will be ready for pickup at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Town Hall (124 E. Coal Creek Drive). If potential candidates are unable to pick up a packet, they may designate someone to pick it up and sign for it. Twenty-one days are given to collect signatures and return the packet to the Town Clerk no later than Monday, Aug. 31.
Key Dates:
Aug. 4 - First day for candidates to circulate nomination petitions
Aug. 24 - Last day for candidates to circulate nomination petitions, petitions due to the Town Clerk by 4 p.m.
Aug. 28 - Last day for candidates to amend nomination petitions
Aug. 31 - Last day for write-in candidates to file affidavit of intent
Nov. 3 - Election Day. Ballot locations open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. (Superior's ballot box is located at Town Hall)
