Birds of Superior

Overview

Birds play an important role in our environmental ecosystem. Birds also have a big impact in different areas including health, other species and food production. Some specific benefits are controlling pests, pollinating, seed spreading and erosion prevention.

Raptor Monitoring Program

The last few years volunteers have helped the Town of Superior monitor birds of prey found in our parks and open spaces. Learn more about this important wildlife protection effort by learning how to identify raptors in this great video produced by Peter Ruprecht, a Superior resident and program leader.
