Is volunteering and serving your community a goal for you in the new year? Consider joining a Town of Superior Advisory Committee!
Advisory committees are an excellent way to share your talents with the Town, brainstorm ideas for change with your neighbors, and make a positive impact in the place you live.
Is environmental sustainability your mission? The Advisory Committee for Environmental Sustainability (ACES) focuses on precisely this by prioritizing water and energy efficiency, waste management, and other activities that promote resource conservation, enhance air and water quality, and mitigate climate change.
Help promote the arts in Superior on the Cultural Arts and Public Spaces (CAPS) Advisory Committee! This group envisions and creates engaging arts and cultural experiences, inspired public spaces, and artistic opportunities that promote community building.
The Historical Commission is committed to preserving and protecting the community's historical treasures. Although there are currently no vacancies, this presents a great future opportunity for history lovers!
Superior's open spaces are special to all our residents. As a member of the Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC), you would play an advisory role in promoting and protecting wildlife, as well as providing stewardship of our Town's natural open space lands.
Do you spend a lot of time in Superior's parks and community facilities? The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee (PARC) provides input to the Town Council on parks and recreational programs, services, and facilities.
If you're interested in shaping Superior's future, service on the Planning Commission could be the right move. This commission evaluates land use and development proposals and makes recommendations to the Town Council.
High school students can provide a voice for Superior's youth and contribute to the community through service as members of the Superior Youth Leadership Council (SYLC).
