Sock It To Em Sock Campaign

Post Date:11/19/2019
Help Us Help Those in Need This Holiday Season!

The Town of Superior is doing it again! We will be collecting NEW socks for men, women and children during the month of December. Socks may be dropped off in the collection box in the lobby of Superior Town Hall (124 E. Coal Creek Drive, Superior, CO).

Did you know that socks are the number one clothing need of the homeless, as they wear out faster than any other article of clothing, and are rarely donated? To address this issue, a campaign to raise awareness and collect socks was started in Denver in 2011 and has now spread throughout the United States. Five years ago, Mayors throughout the Metro Denver area were asked to sign a proclamation designating December 10, 2014 as Sock It To Em Workday, a day for residents to forego wearing their socks as a show of support for the homeless, and to recognize the great need among the homeless for warm socks.

This Holiday Season the Town of Superior and the Sock It To Em Sock Campaign are making a social impact one pair of socks at a time! We thank you for your support.

Sock It To Em Sock Campaign is a 501c3 Public Charity.
