Transportation Safety Committee Meeting

July 21

During the TSC meeting this week the committee reviewed a number of transportation items. The committee reviewed speed data and traffic calming options for West Torreys Peak, Dailey Street, and Coal Creek Drive in Original Town. A neighborhood meeting will be scheduled with residents near Dailey Street. The committee received updates on both the Vision Zero Action Plan as well as the Transportation Plan. These plans will be presented to Council at the Aug. 11 meeting. The committee discussed changes to the RTD Route 228 bus service which may soon serve the McCaslin Park and Ride, pending RTD Board approval. Finally, the committee discussed speed and red-light cameras, but recommended to not implement these at this time. You can find the video of the TSC meeting on the TSC webpage.

Cultural Arts and Public Spaces Advisory Committee Meeting

July 24

The CAPS Advisory Committee heard a presentation from town staff on the Comprehensive Plan and gave feedback on it. The Committee also heard from Leah Marie, founder of Boulder's Streetwise mural festival, about a possible future collaboration. The Committee approved two Neighborhood Sponsorship requests for block parties. The Committee discussed progress on various projects, as well as ideas for identifying new public art pieces and fostering public engagement with public art.
